In 1998 I set out to create an imaginary world of little animals full of charm and personality, who reside in a place called Teaberry Meadow.
Originally a set of twelve, the bunnies were replaced in 1999 by three larger rabbits and replaced again in 2000 by seven smaller ones (and one groundhog!). In 2001 I suspended production to have my first baby intending to return a few months later. Ten years and two more children later I've come back to Teaberry Meadow. My first is a yet-to-be released piece, my second and third - Mon Petit Lapin and The Blustery Day.
Teaberry Meadow bunnies are original works of art sculpted in clay, then cast in gypsum. They are meticulously hand-painted and sealed with a matte-glaze finish (except for the eyes which are given a high-gloss finish). Each rabbit is then labelled and initialed, insuring each piece is a unique and charming treasure.
